Near the end of February, Jonathan Wachtel received the first position of spokesman for the US mission to the UN.

Now Trump is proud to have Nauert join the team. She is a hard worker who received her master’s degree from Columbia University and is an active member on the Council of Foreign Relations.

Heather Nauert is the full package.

Former Fox & Friends anchor Heather Nauert just officially accepted a position working as a spokesperson for the State Department. The State Department released a statement welcoming her to the position.

“The Department of State is pleased to welcome Heather Nauert as the new State Department spokesperson. Nauert comes to the department with more than 15 years of experience as an anchor and correspondent covering both foreign and domestic news and events, including the 9/11 terror attacks, the war in Iraq, and the genocide in Darfur, Sudan,” said the statement.

They then stated how her experience working at Fox & Friends is both relevant and helpful to the position. “Heather’s media experience and long interest in international affairs will be invaluable as she conveys the administration’s foreign policy priorities to the American people and the world,” the statement said.

For a while Mark Toner represented the Department of State. Toner was serving as spokesperson during the Obama administration and then the spot became vacant. Donald Trump has made it clear that he is a fan of Heather Nauert.
