In a shocking and frankly sickening turn of events, the infamous Menendez brothers — Erik and Lyle — are now being handed a second chance at freedom, after spending nearly 35 years behind bars for the cold-blooded murders of their own parents. This disturbing development comes thanks to yet another reckless move by California’s far-left leadership: Governor Gavin Newsom’s AB 600.
This new law, AB 600, is a radical legislative change that allows convicted murderers sentenced under “older, harsher laws” to seek a review of their sentences under today’s softer, rehabilitation-obsessed standards. Legal analyst Roger Bonakdar recently broke down the shocking consequences of this legislation, pointing out how this opens the door for two of America’s most notorious killers to potentially walk free.
The man leading this appalling charge? None other than George Gascon, the former Los Angeles County District Attorney who has already turned California into a crime-ridden wasteland. Gascon — whose policies have been directly blamed for skyrocketing violent crime across LA — filed a motion to seek resentencing for the Menendez brothers, laughably arguing that the murderers are “no longer a threat to the community.”
Seriously? These men slaughtered their own mother and father in cold blood — ambushing them in their Beverly Hills mansion in 1989. Their father, Jose Menendez, was shot point-blank in the head while sitting on the couch. Their mother, Kitty Menendez, was gunned down as she tried to crawl away, screaming for her life. The brothers showed no mercy. No regret. They emptied their shotguns into their parents without a second thought.
During the first trial, the defense’s narrative of supposed “sexual abuse” was introduced but ultimately collapsed under scrutiny. In the second trial, with that distraction minimized, the jury saw the Menendez brothers for what they were: greedy, privileged killers motivated by a hunger for their parents’ wealth. They were convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to life without parole — exactly the fate they deserved.
Now, California’s soft-on-crime leaders want to reward them with a chance at freedom?
Under AB 600 and the radical reinterpretation of “youthful offender” guidelines, because the brothers were under 26 at the time of their crimes, they could now be re-sentenced and made eligible for parole. Even worse, Bonakdar pointed out that they might qualify for so-called “compassionate release” — a twisted concept being used to free murderers simply because they’ve gotten older.
What’s even more outrageous is the backroom legal maneuvering happening in plain sight. After Gascon’s motion to re-sentence them, newly elected DA Nathan Hochman tried to pull the plug on this insanity. But the judge, in another shocking move, refused to let Hochman retract the motion. This effectively locked the court into treating the Menendez brothers as if they deserve a second chance — giving them a presumption of eligibility for parole.
Let that sink in: the killers now get the legal system tilting in their favor — because of a technicality created by a Soros-backed prosecutor who has already unleashed chaos across Los Angeles.
It’s a sick joke, but the punchline is deadly serious.
The Menendez brothers, who already had access to the best defense lawyers money could buy during their original trials, are once again using their resources and connections to manipulate the system. And the California justice system, thanks to Newsom, Gascon, and other soft-on-crime extremists, is bending over backward to accommodate them.
Gascon’s disgraceful motion was critical. Without it, Erik and Lyle would have faced a steep, nearly impossible path trying to seek clemency through traditional legal channels. Instead, thanks to this left-wing gift, the brothers are now positioned perfectly to argue for their release — and they might just get it.
This entire debacle reveals something deeply sick at the core of California’s modern justice system. It’s no longer about protecting victims. It’s no longer about punishing evil. It’s about finding excuses to empty prisons, forgive murderers, and pretend that “compassion” means letting killers roam free again.
The Menendez case was — and still is — a symbol of everything that’s wrong with a society that has lost its moral compass. Instead of standing firmly against evil, today’s leaders in California are willing to rehabilitate even the most despicable monsters if it fits their warped agenda of “criminal justice reform.”
And what message does this send to the victims’ families? To law-abiding citizens? To future would-be murderers?
It tells them that no crime is too horrific for second chances. It tells them that political ideology matters more than justice. It tells them that even if you murder your own mother and father in cold blood, you can someday be rewarded with a get-out-of-jail-free card if the political winds shift in your favor.
The Menendez brothers do not deserve mercy. They do not deserve compassion. They deserve to spend every last miserable second of their lives behind bars, paying for what they did. Anything less is a spit in the face of justice, a betrayal of the victims, and a glaring example of how twisted and broken California’s legal system has become under radical leftist leadership.
As this disgusting case drags on, one thing is clear: the sickness eating away at the heart of California’s criminal justice system is spreading. And if we don’t fight back — if we don’t demand real justice — it’s only a matter of time before even more brutal killers are set free in the name of “reform.”

There is a such thing as spoiled rotten to the core and also actually diabolical evil souls which these two monsters are and they should have been executed 35 years ago which would have spared the tax payers and society of such a burden to keep them contained! They and Newsom should be taken to a remote island and summarily executed just for being diabolical agents of Satan!
This is why we need the death penalty used on people who kill innocent people. Because a life sentence doesn’t mean sh-t anymore they always get paroled or pardoned. These asshole democrats politicians and judges don’t have the balls to stand up for the victims it just makes them relive the trauma and pain again. We need judges that stand up for the victim’s and not these criminals who deserve the death penalty and get paroled this isn’t justice it’s a failure of the officials government. Life means life which means you die in prison period. How many released convicts start committing crimes again all of them.
Sue I agree with you. Anyone who gets paroled needs a sponsor who is responsible for them and if they commit a crime the sponsor and the board who paroled them finish out the criminal’s sentence. This makes sense start making sure people are held accountable for their bad decisions
Fully agree! These smug Satanic monsters are an their way to hell for eternity and yet in Californication they are treated like Celebrities for murdering their own parents; such a diabolical evil act they should have been executed!
Treachery and deception abound and genuine justice it’s nowhere to be found!
The primary scriptural reference for perilous times (End Time) is found in 2 Timothy 3:1-5. Paul warns Timothy, “But understand this: In the last days, terrible times will come. For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, without love of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. Turn away from such as these!”
