In a second wave of explosions, at least nine people were killed and more than 300 injured on Wednesday when Hezbollah’s walkie-talkies mysteriously detonated throughout Lebanon.
This attack closely follows Tuesday’s deadly pager explosions, which claimed the lives of 12 people and left nearly 4,000 wounded, plunging the terrorist organization into an unprecedented security crisis.
According to The Sun, the explosions were caused by booby-trapped walkie-talkies used by Hezbollah fighters.
These devices blew up in their hands, triggering blasts across southern Lebanon.
The incident came just a day after 12 people, including two children, were killed and thousands were injured when newly issued pagers exploded throughout the country.
The blasts have been attributed to Israeli spies, who reportedly planted explosives in thousands of pagers.
The devices were later remotely detonated through a coded message.
The walkie-talkie explosions appear to follow the same pattern, with hand-held radios rigged to detonate upon use by Hezbollah members.
These explosions are expected to further inflame tensions in the Middle East.
Officials fear that the incidents may represent a “pre-emptive strike” by Israel, as Israeli troops were also deployed to the border on the same day, escalating concerns of a potential larger conflict.

Exploding devices for Hezbollah. It could not have happened to a more deserving group of folks. This is exactly what Hezbollah has been doing to people around the world, so I sincerely hope that nothing about this new method of attacking avowed terrorists engenders any degree of sympathy. These are the same folks that loaded SEMTEX and oxygen and acetylene welding tanks into a modified Chevy Suburban and crashed it into the Marine Barrack at Beirut International Airfield on or about December 16, 1983 and killed 241 US Marines–Closed casket.
