The NFL is holding its first-ever game in Paris on Saturday, pressing forward with the Pittsburgh Steelers vs. New Orleans Saints matchup despite weeks of violent protests and civil unrest in the French capital.
The league’s NFL House fan activation in the city was closed on Saturday, but officials decided to proceed with the game as scheduled, part of the NFL’s continuing push to expand its International Series into new markets.
Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers backed the decision to play. “This game means a lot to the NFL,” he told reporters Friday. “If it was unsafe, then I’m sure we wouldn’t be here.”
The matchup pits a Steelers team at 4-2 against a Saints squad at 2-4 as both clubs enter Week 7 of the season. Kickoff is set for 9:30 a.m. ET.
Both franchises have played overseas before. The Steelers most recently played in Ireland in 2025, while the Saints have played three international games, all in London, with the most recent coming in 2022.
Viewers without cable access can stream the game through live TV services offering NFL Network, including options with free trial periods, as the league continues to widen its audience beyond traditional broadcast.
