California Governor Gavin Newsom’s request for social media users to assist in designing a new $1 coin to commemorate the state’s innovations backfired as critics pointed out the challenges facing the Golden State under his leadership.
These issues include a significant homelessness crisis, rising crime rates, excessive taxes, and soaring electricity expenses, prompting an exodus of both businesses and residents.
Despite these pressing concerns, Newsom appeared surprised when the response from social media users was not one of praise.

Newsom likely regrets hitting the “publish” button as the responses he received were overwhelmingly critical.
The feedback primarily highlighted concerns about the state’s dirty streets, residents relocating to more favorable locations, and criticism of Newsom’s strict COVID-19 measures.

Newsom is a classic example of the elite, ruling-class legacy politician that has no clue (and doesn’t care) how their political decisions affect the normal, average citizen. Both the Democrat and Republican ‘ruling-class elites’ that come from long-time political dynasties live in an insulated, cloistered environment devoid of ‘real-World’ realities. They live in walled mansions in elite neighborhoods with little to no crime, their children go to expensive private schools, they socialize together in exclusive clubs. They don’t interact with ‘commoners’ nor do they have to face the everyday trials and tribulations of the average person. History has shown that these ‘ruling elites’ usually make decisions that benefit their own personal gain, not those of ‘We the People’.
He doesn’t care if the people hate him. He gets off on it. Same thing with Kathy Hochul. The more people they piss off, the better.
