Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s prosecutors made a bold claim on Thursday, stating that former President Donald Trump had violated the court’s gag order not just once, but a total of seven times.
This revelation comes after Bragg’s office had previously requested the court to impose a $1,000 sanction for each of the three Truth Social posts that Trump had made in violation of the gag order.
They also demanded that Trump remove these posts and issued a warning that further infractions could lead to jail time.
The specific incident that the DA’s office referred to was in connection with a New York Post article that criticized Michael Cohen as a “serial perjurer.”
In response to this article, Trump had taken to his Truth Social platform and quoted Fox News host Jesse Watters.
“They are catching undercover Liberal Activists lying to the Judge in order to get on the Trump Jury,”
This action by Trump further escalated the situation, leading prosecutors to file a motion seeking contempt charges against him for allegedly breaching Judge Merchan’s gag order.
The tension between Trump and the legal authorities reached new heights when he posted on Truth Social accusing undercover liberal activists of lying to the judge in an effort to influence the jury selection process for his trial.
The post added fuel to the already intense legal battle surrounding him.
Judge Juan Merchan’s imposition of stringent gag orders has been viewed by many as infringing upon Trump’s First Amendment rights.
In fact, Judge Merchan recently extended these restrictions by prohibiting Trump from making any critical remarks about his family members.
This move further restricted Trump’s ability to express himself publicly and defend his positions amidst mounting legal challenges.
As tensions continue to rise between Trump and the Manhattan DA’s office, Judge Merchan has scheduled a hearing for April 23rd to address Bragg’s request for holding Trump in contempt of court. T
he outcome of this hearing could have significant ramifications for both parties involved and may set a precedent for how future violations of gag orders are handled within the judicial system.

Gross election interference!!!
He and Merchan are illegally keeping Trump from his 1st Amendment and fair trial rights.
They are the ones who should be goi9ng to jail.
These prosecuting attorneys in all trumps cases should be in jail themselves – Fani Willis, Bragg, Letitia James. They are all corrupt and twist the law for political purposes.
Right on! All the corrupt Globalist Democrats and RINOs should be in jail with them while waiting for trial and sentencing for Treason to the Citizens of the USA.
