AG Merrick Garland is Now Calling GOP Lawmakers, Coercing Them Not to Vote for ‘Inherent Contempt’

GOP Representative Anna Paulina Luna announced last week her intention to bring an inherent contempt vote to the House floor following the DOJ’s decision not to prosecute US Attorney General Merrick Garland.

“Under inherent contempt proceedings, the House or Senate has its Sergeant-At-Arms, or deputy, take a person into custody for proceedings to be held in Congress,” according to the National Constitution Center.

The Justice Department has decided not to pursue prosecution of Merrick Garland for contempt of Congress in relation to the Biden audio tapes.

In a letter to House Speaker Mike Johnson on Friday, the department said, “The department has determined that the responses by Attorney General Garland to the subpoenas issued by the committees did not constitute a crime, and accordingly the department will not bring the congressional contempt citation before a grand jury or take any other action to prosecute the Attorney General.”

“The DOJ is not above the law. Garland is not above the law. Inherent contempt will be called up and brought to the floor,” Anna Paulina Luna said.

“I already filed the resolution and I will be calling up the vote,” Rep. Anna Paulina Luna said on Friday afternoon.

Senior Congressional Correspondent for Fox News Chard Pergram wrote, “Fox is told that Democrats would likely move to table or kill the resolution to hold Garland in “inherent contempt.” Thus, the vote is one step removed from an actual up/down vote on inherent contempt. If the House moves to the table, the issue is dead. However, if the House rejects tabling the measure, it proceeds to hold a vote on actual inherent contempt. Fox is told that Garland has reached out to moderate Republicans, pushing them to reject inherent contempt.”

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna has recently made a series of fiery social media posts, unleashing a blistering criticism of Attorney General Merrick Garland.

According to sources, Garland is reportedly making direct appeals to moderate Republicans, imploring them to oppose the motion for holding him in ‘inherent contempt.’

Rep. Luna wrote:

“It’s being reported Garland is CALLING moderate Republicans asking them to vote against holding him in inherent contempt. Garland, you can make this all go away by handing over the tapes. You’re willfully ignoring congressional issued subpoenas…

Garland is now calling Republican members of congress pressuring them to NOT vote for inherent contempt. This is the definition of corruption. He thinks he is above the law and can tell members of congress what to do.

Why is Garland fighting so hard to hide the tapes? What is on the tapes that is causing him to behave in criminal fashion in an effort to protect Biden? Any other American would be in jail for doing what he is doing.

Garland, release the tapes to Congress and allow us to listen to them.

Garland, why don’t you give me call as well. You should have my cell phone number. I’d like to hear your pitch on why you think you should not be held accountable?”

No one should be above the law, especially the corrupt Establishment Elite.

If Garland is not delivering on the subpoena why should he not be held in inherent contempt and jailed? Look at those refusing to testify against Trump. They have legitimate reasons based on executive privilege. Garland is coving for Biden and we all know it. If Biden is what Hur described him as and can’t be prosecuted, then Biden is not able to act as president in any capacity.

I pray that Speaker Johnson backs Congresswoman Luna in this effort to bring the out of control biden cabal to court and charge them for their crimes. That will be the only waqy to start to fix this country.

I think what we have here is a failure to communicate. Who does Attorney General Merrick Garland think he is? Who does he get paid by, US!!! Therefore, the representatives that WE have elected have demaned to hear the tapes and report the results to US the US Tax payers. That is not a difficult task unless you are corrupt and are hiding something. What could be so damming about listening to a tape of questions asked by a licensed medical evaluator to the most powerful free world leader in the world to determine if he is still fit enough to hold the office. Perhaps it should be a requirement for every POTUS in his annual physical, a mental state evaluation as well no matter what age they are. To refuse anything, except state secrets and classified material worthy of such nature, that our Congressional Members have legally requested is a crime and should be handled as such. Here is where I believe the SCOTUS should step in and tell the DOJ it will comply. Punishments for not doing so should be loss of the position, possible detainment or fine. There are those out there on both sides of the political fence who scream “No one is above the law” and this should extend to every citizen of the USA including the POTUS, VP, SOS, Cabinet Members, DOJ, Senate, House, and even SCOTUS Justices. Anyone violating US law should receive the same treatment of investigation, charges, trial, and if found guilty punishment. Presidential Pardons should not legally extend to POTUS, VP, Cabinet Members, DOJ, Senate, House, or SCOTUS members.

“No one is above the law.” That is the way we have operated for our entire history. BUT UNTIL we start charging CROOKED ones like Jamie Raskin (who brays like a jackass and gaslights us every time we attempt to hold a criminal’s feet to the fire, yet retains his “ranking member” title) and Clyburn (who doesn’t have the IQ of a piece of lint, but also brays like a jackass to cover his fellow criminal’s backside) with OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE, we are treading water!!!
