Aayden Gallagher, a high school athlete who identifies as female and competes in the girls’ division, excelled by placing second in two events at a recent track meet.
Comparatively, if Gallagher had participated in the boys’ division based on performance, he would have ranked towards the lower end.
At the Sherwood High School Need for Speed Classic in Oregon, Gallagher competed in the 200-meter and 400-meter races.
Footage of Gallagher surpassing other girls at the event circulated widely, prompting controversy and debate.
The video has since been removed from X:

Gallagher’s times of 25.49 seconds in the 200-meter and 55.61 seconds in the 400-meter would have placed him near the bottom of the standings if he had competed in the boys division.
Specifically, he would have finished 61st out of 65 in the 200-meter and 46th out of 58 in the 400-meter, indicating that he was far from contention for any awards.
As a result, there was a strong reaction from some users who argued against Gallagher participating in the event.
Additionally, there were suggestions that the girls should have refused to compete in what was perceived as an unfair race:
Why did those girls compete ? All they had to do was not step on to the track . Girls have the power to stop the clown show but arenβt doing so. I have no sympathy for them if they arenβt going to help themselves

A worried parent voiced a plea for action, pointing out that Gallagher’s strong finish could lead him to the Oregon state championships and potentially displace a deserving female runner.
We must demand a 3rd category in high school competitions, or races must be by biological gender. Anything else is a making a mockery of female athletics. We must not allow a boy to take a girlβs place as a participant in a state meet-and that is EXACTLY what is going to happen..

Twenty-four states have implemented measures to prohibit biological males who identify as females from competing in girls’ sports.
Unfortunately, Oregon is not among these states, which was disheartening news for the female athletes who competed against Gallagher.

This person is not a Hero. Not even an athlete. This is a boy Pussy that cannot compete in his own category and takes advantage. He should enter the PARAOLYMPICS. He would be a hero there too.
Run them down. I have no right to block traffic. It is against the.
Chauvinism gone rampant and hallowed by the inferior minds of the left. The state needs to convene and take away this boy’s award, hand it to its rightful owner and tell everyone that enough is enough. We get it. You want boys to be girls and girls to be boys….but in sports we are NOT doing this.
It could be that the girls could still win in a FEDERAL COURT.
Let’s make an argument. I have a Cheetah. My cheetah believes it is a man. Therefore my cheetah can run in a race and win all the medals and everyone should cheer.
How about another. Little Johnny believes he is handicapped. Therefore he wants to participate in the handicapped olympics. He takes the gold. Should we allow this at all?
How about this. In auto racing there are divisions and vehicle types, maximum weight and size and even limits on types of fuel delivery to the engine. How about someone with a vehicle of 30% more HP competing because the driver believes his car is not what it is?
None of this makes any sense. Sue the State, sue the organizations that set this up, sue the federal government for discrimination against women in sports. Sue them all. Place m on the jury please. My wards would be in the tens of millions and if done as a class, maybe a BILLION. My daughters do not deserve this.
