In Wednesday’s game, the Dodgers defeated the White Sox 4-0, and during the game, a bat boy made an impressive catch that prevented a foul ball from hitting Shohei Ohtani in the dugout.
The incident occurred at Guaranteed Rate Field in Chicago and could have potentially caused an injury to the star player.
The bat boy, identified by his No. 94 jersey, was seated on the dugout steps with his right hand on his right leg and his left arm resting on the guardrail.
When the foul ball came towards Ohtani, the bat boy quickly reacted by raising his hands and successfully grabbing the ball just inches away from the player.

After making the catch, Ohtani went over to the bat boy and exchanged words of appreciation or recognition.
The Dodgers organization can finally take a breath of relief as they have been coping with the absence of important players like Mookie Betts and Yoshinobu Yamamoto.
Ohtani’s outstanding performance this season has cemented his position as a top contender for the NL MVP title.
With an impressive batting average and remarkable stats across various categories, Ohtani’s consistently high-quality at-bats have captured attention and admiration throughout the league.
As the season unfolds, it remains to be seen if Ohtani will secure his third MVP award. If he does receive this honor, it would be fitting for him to show gratitude to the bat boy whose swift reflexes and ability to prevent potential harm ultimately played a pivotal role in his ongoing success.
