Iran launched ballistic missiles and drones at U.S. forces in Jordan late Sunday, hours after American forces struck Iranian personnel preparing to place sea mines in the Strait of Hormuz. The exchange ends a monthlong pause in direct fighting between Washington and Tehran.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said it targeted two U.S.-operated air bases in Jordan in retaliation for the American strike on Iranian forces near Larak Island. Iranian state media identified the targets as King Hussein Air Base and Al-Azraq Air Base.
