The NFL’s London Games series begins today with the Indianapolis Colts facing the Washington Commanders, the first of three matches the league is staging in England over the coming three weeks.
Kick-off is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. ET, with two of the three fixtures set to be played at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the home ground of the Premier League club.
Both franchises have played in London before and were part of the NFL’s international expansion last season. The Colts featured in the league’s first game in Madrid, Spain, while the Commanders took part in the first NFL game staged in Paris, France.
On current international form, the Colts head into the game with a 2-1 record from matches played outside the United States. The Commanders, by contrast, have yet to register a win abroad, holding a 0-2-1 record across more than three international fixtures — the only team in the league with that distinction.
The London Games have become a fixture of the NFL calendar as the league continues efforts to grow its following outside North America.
