The NFL returns to Spain today as the Cincinnati Bengals take on the Atlanta Falcons at Real Madrid’s Bernabéu stadium, marking the second-ever Madrid Game after the league debuted there last season.
Kickoff is set for 9:30 a.m. ET.
Cincinnati enters with limited international experience, having played only two overseas games, both in London, most recently in 2019. The Bengals sit at 0-1-1 in games played abroad. Atlanta has more international mileage, making its fifth overseas appearance today, with a 1-3 record in those matchups.
The Bengals arrive in Madrid coming off a strong performance from quarterback Joe Burrow, who threw six touchdowns and three interceptions in last week’s overtime win over Tennessee. The Falcons, meanwhile, are under .500 but remain in contention in the AFC South race heading into Week 9.
