This week, four Democratic officials in Bridgeport, Connecticut were arrested and accused of election fraud. The voter manipulation was linked to a mayoral primary race in 2019.
Among those charged were Bridgeport City Councilman Alfredo Castillo and Wanda Geter-Pataky, who serves as the Vice Chair of the city’s Democratic Party.
Additionally, campaign workers Nilsa Heredia and Josephine Edmonds were also accused of election fraud and unlawfully possessing someone else’s absentee ballot.
Furthermore, Wanda Geter-Pataky faced an additional charge of witness tampering, according to the Connecticut Mirror.

The Connecticut Mirror reported:
Connecticut prosecutors charged four Bridgeport political operatives on Tuesday with abusing the absentee balloting system during the city’s 2019 Democratic primary for mayor.
Bridgeport city councilman Alfredo Castillo and Wanda Geter-Pataky, the vice chairwoman of the city’s Democratic Party who became the face of another major election scandal last year, are among those charged.
The Connecticut Chief State’s Attorney also charged Nilsa Heredia and Josephine Edmonds, two other campaign workers who were involved in the 2019 primary between Bridgeport Mayor Joe Ganim and his Democratic challenger, Marilyn Moore.
The arrest of Democrats involved in election fraud in 2019 took several years to achieve. In the 2023 primary mayoral race, Wanda Geter-Pataky, one of the individuals implicated in the 2019 fraud, continued to engage in illegal ballot dumps.
The extent of election fraud in Bridgeport was so severe that a judge overturned the mayoral primary results in 2023.
Superior Court Judge William Clark ordered a new election to be held after citing bombshell video evidence of election fraud as the basis for his decision.
In September, it was reported that mayoral candidate John Gomes’ campaign released a video showing evidence of election fraud in the Bridgeport Democratic primary, prompting an investigation by the Bridgeport Police Department for possible misconduct.
The video displayed a woman dropping stacks of ‘illegal’ ballots into an absentee ballot box outside the Bridgeport government center, where the city’s Registrar of Voters office is located and was shared on the Gomes campaign’s Facebook page.
WATCH:
The Gomes campaign successfully identified the woman in the video as Wanda Geter-Pataky, Vice Chairwoman of the Democratic Town Clerk and a prominent advocate for incumbent Mayor Joe Ganim’s reelection.
According to Gomes’ campaign, the footage depicts Geter-Pataky delivering numerous absentee ballots prior to the September 12th primary.

The charges brought on Tuesday do not pertain to the offenses committed by Democratic operatives during the 2023 mayoral primary in which incumbent Joe Ganim and challenger John Gomes were involved.
A distinct investigation is underway regarding the election fraud in the 2023 primary mayoral race in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
