President Trump’s legal team has submitted a request to disqualify Judge Arthur Engoron from the civil fraud case in New York City, initiated by New York Attorney General Letitia James.
Trump’s lawyers argue that Engoron should step down after it was disclosed that the judge engaged in an “inappropriate” discussion about the civil fraud case with a real estate lawyer just before issuing a ruling that mandated Trump to pay a $454 million penalty.
The real estate lawyer, Adam Leitman Bailey, disclosed the conversation about the Trump case with Engoron during an interview with NBC New York in February.
“I know he respects my real estate knowledge,” Bailey said. “So I gave it to him. I gave him everything I knew. He had a lot of questions, you know about certain cases. We went over it.”

Trump’s legal team contended that Judge Engoron may have been swayed by Adam Leitman Bailey.
Last month, the New York State Commission on Judicial Conduct (NYSCJC) initiated an inquiry into Bailey’s discussion with Engoron.
NBC New York reported:
Former President Donald Trump’s legal team filed a motion Thursday calling on New York Supreme Court Judge Arthur Engoron to recuse himself from the Trump civil fraud case.
The 24-page filing said Judge Engoron should step aside in light of a state judicial conduct investigation launched last month. Sources familiar with the investigation said the probe is examining whether Engoron engaged in an improper conversation about the case with an expert real estate lawyer three weeks before issuing his $454 million penalty ruling.
That lawyer is Adam Leitman Bailey, who unexpectedly revealed his alleged interaction with the judge during two taped TV interviews with NBC New York in February.
“I wanted him to know what I think and why…I really want him to get it right,” Bailey said, repeating that it had been his intention to advise Engoron about the law in the Trump case and why harsh penalties would be bad for business in New York. Bailey later said he and the judge “never mentioned the word Donald Trump,” but when asked if it had been clear which case they had been discussing, Bailey responded “Well obviously we weren’t talking about the Mets.”

Until we start publicly hanging these pos corrupt judges and DA’s thigs will not change. We have lost total control of our judicial system and it is past time to correct it in a manner that will STOP the bs!!
Agree!!!!
Engaron should have recused himself. He was a biased, liberal narrow minded judge as was Merchan. Hopefully, when Trump is in the white house, they will be fired or disbarred based on their embarrassing, disgraceful actions.
Hannity kept pressing President Trump about him doing “restitution” or revenge. Trump said he would want his DOJ to do JUSTICE!. I am sure all they would have to do is follow the truth. “WE THE PEOPLE” want RESTITUTION and revenge! The 1300 people charged for peacefully protesting on J6 need total RESTITUTION. I want these people that have been RUINED and SUFFERED from this communist regime should be able to charge their persecutors! Those in prison should be set free and then go after the jailers that have beaten and terrorized them! One has even lost an eye to their terrorist jailers! Remove ANY IMMUNITY for Garland and his goons!!!
dingaron is one ugly sob, inside AND out.
I agree 100+%. In my 81 years I have never seen anything so blatantly corrupt as these two judges.
Katie: I notice you limit the scope of corruption to “what you have seen.” That is so very wise, because like icebergs, een more of their corruption will never be visible
Satan is running the country. Into the ground!!!
I rather doubt that Judge Arthur Engoron was swayed by Adam Leitman Bailey. I rather suspect he was looking for Bailey thoughts that might support his already predetermined outcome. This trial was such a travesty of justice and if it doesn’t get reviewed and overturned our justice system will no longer have credibility.
