A WNBA superstar sustained an injury tonight during the Indiana Fever game against the Connecticut Sun in Indianapolis.
Clark began the game by leading all scorers with 8 points in the first quarter.

Dave Portney predicted a 30 point night for Caitlin Clark.
Caitlin Clark has adjusted to the league. She's gonna go for 30 tonight and if her teammates knew how to finish when she drops a dime in their face she'd be a walking double double #caitlinclark pic.twitter.com/Nka8fDOeDt

Portney neglected to consider the intense nature of the WNBA league and its treatment of superstars.
On Sunday, New York Liberty’s Brianna Stewart took down Clark by setting an unexpected pick and delivering a forceful blow, causing Caitlin Clark to collapse to the floor.

Once again, she fell victim to a malicious pick tonight and ended up injured.
Connecticut deployed a tough player to bring Clark down on Monday, just as New York had done the day before.
However, Clark was able to anticipate the pick and twisted her ankle before the opposing player could take her down.

Caitlin Clark exited the game for the remainder of the first half.
Upon her return in the second half, she was promptly called for two questionable fouls by the referees.
It seems as though the WNBA is targeting Clark.

How short-sighted are the players and the WNBA league! When Tiger Woods started on the PGA tour the old-timers were envious of his talent and fame. However, his presence increased interest in golf, attendance at tournaments, and TV viewership. Prize money increased for EVERYONE. According to Microsoft’s Co-Pilot “Between 1997 and 2008, the PGA Tour distributed a total of $3.1 billion in prize money. However, if Tiger Woods hadn’t been part of the tour, the prize money would have been around $1.5 billion. Thanks to Tiger’s influence, the prize money increased by approximately 9.3% per year during his tenure, compared to the previous growth rate of 3.4%1. Additionally, the 2024 PGA Championship purse increased to $18.5 million, with the winner receiving a total of $3.33 million. Tiger Woods’ impact on the PGA Tour has been significant regarding financial growth and overall visibility. ” Don’t kill a Golden Goose!
I hope Clark was wearing a sturdy jock strap so as not to injure her biological package. With an Adams Apple that size we can just imagine the nads on that dude.
Clark was the #1 pick in the WNBA draft so of course she’s got a target on her back and draws the best defenders. Remember she set the NCAA career scoring record for both men and women in basketball–ever. And Clark must get used to the fact that professional players and plays are ordinarily rougher than college. After all, she’s now playing the best of the best every game. Sorry, Ms. Clark. You must adjust before you get permanently injured, something that would really be a tragedy, not this short term harm for lack of adaptation by her to the pro level of play.
