Arizona Cardinals safety Budda Baker showed up to his media availability dressed in an evil clown costume a day before Halloween, even as questions swirled about his future with the team.
According to the New York Post, dressing up for Halloween is an annual tradition for Baker. This year, though, the costume coincided with growing speculation that the Cardinals may become sellers ahead of the NFL trade deadline, with Baker’s name among those mentioned in trade rumors.
Despite the costume, Baker took questions from reporters about the speculation surrounding his future.
“I just live in the present, like today, having a great time with you guys,” Baker said. “Going to go out and have a great Friday practice, and just focus on playing against the Dallas Cowboys and trying to get a ‘W’ at their stadium.”
Baker’s answer addressed his focus on the upcoming matchup against the Dallas Cowboys, even as he fielded questions about his potential departure from the team amid the trade deadline rumors.
