Minnesota Governor Tim Walz is facing intensifying criticism, and his recent appearance at the Michigan vs. Minnesota football game in Ann Arbor only added fuel to the fire.
As Walz’s motorcade arrived at the stadium, Michigan fans braved the rain to make their feelings known, loudly booing the Minnesota governor.
The chants of “Get out of here!” highlighted just how much Walz is disliked outside his political base, a moment of public disapproval that seemed impossible to ignore.
Walz, already under scrutiny for various controversies, faced further embarrassment as he was once again criticized for what many see as an attempt to embellish his image.
Despite his claims of military service, Walz has never served in Special Forces, yet he often wears military hats, a move that has reportedly irritated real servicemen who have asked him to stop misrepresenting his background.
Adding to the awkwardness, Walz was caught on camera in a bizarre and immature moment that some called “unbecoming of a governor.”
The footage, which circulated online, showed Walz grabbing himself inappropriately during the event, a gesture that seemed to be the only thing to bring a smile to his face that day.
The fallout continued when CNN conservative commentator Scott Jennings delivered a scathing critique of Walz during a panel discussion, calling him a “buffoon” in one of the most brutal public takedowns of his career.
“Tim Walz is a buffoon, plain and simple,” Jennings said, referencing a particularly cringe-worthy moment when Walz once bragged that none of his students had been accepted into an Ivy League school during his time as a teacher. Jennings mocked this as a bizarre point of pride for a former educator.
Jennings also took aim at Walz’s fumbling interactions with the press, specifically recalling a disastrous interview with CNN’s Dana Bash. In that exchange,
Walz awkwardly dodged questions about inaccuracies in his resume, leading to what Jennings described as a “nonsensical” response.
The commentator didn’t stop there. Jennings accused Walz of coasting politically on the popularity of Vice President Kamala Harris, suggesting that Walz is on a “short leash” and kept out of the spotlight for fear of more gaffes.
“He’s riding on Kamala Harris’s coattails,” Jennings asserted. “They don’t let him talk to the press much, and there’s a reason for that. He’s got a notorious temper, and they don’t want him out there making things worse.”
Jennings concluded by urging Republican Senator JD Vance to challenge Walz in any public debate, noting that Walz’s temper and missteps could easily be provoked. “I want JD Vance to go out there and get under his skin.
Walz has a legendary hot temper, and I want Vance to make him explain why he disrespects stories like Vance’s — of someone from small-town America making a better life. That’s something we should want for every kid,” Jennings said.
NEW: CNN’s Scott Jennings calls Tim Walz a “buffoon,” makes fun of him for bragging about how none of his students went to Ivy League colleges.
“This guy, he's the only school teacher in America who brags that none of his students can get into an Ivy League school.”

The episode has only deepened the political trouble for Walz, who is struggling to maintain support amid growing discontent from both the public and political commentators.

Wow, a Democrat that CNN is calling out. Cannot be good for A-Walz.
I have voted democrat more so than republican over my last 80 plus years. However after Obama and Biden (I voted for Trump in 2016 &2020) and Biden and Harris and their fiasco regime that sent inflation way higher than what they admitted I will never vote for another democrat. Their WOKEness, pronouns and pro trans policies are just too much to stand for. Her word salads and receptor ear rings make you wonder if without a teleprompter if she is even viable as a candidate. Harris and Walz are both socialist far left leaning people who I feel will will lead us down the path to communism and we will end up like Venezuela. Harris was the border Czar who let 12 million plus illegals into the country and is now trying to legalize their voting, and Walz who went through Minnesota’s 18 billion surplus in a few short years…we do not need these people running our country.
