Democratic strategist Antjuan Seawright found himself in the unenviable position of defending Vice President Kamala Harris and her vague stance on her plans for the American people should she become president.
Despite his best efforts, Seawright’s defense came across as even less convincing than Harris’ usual rhetoric.
This moment occurred during a segment on “America Reports” leading up to Harris’ highly anticipated interview with CNN’s Dana Bash.
Conservative commentator Kaylee McGhee White highlighted Harris’ lack of transparency regarding her policy proposals.
“Voters have a right to decide which policies they prefer, and she has not given them that right,” McGhee White said.
Seawright responded with a cloud of cliches and context-free numbers no more concrete than Harris’ regular offerings of faux philosophy when “America Reports” co-anchor John Roberts cut in with a question that cornered him.
“Will you acknowledge that there’s no policy page on her website?” Roberts asked.
Seawright played dumb — pretending Harris talks policy from “the podium.”
“When did we start caring about policy pages on websites?” he asked.
“Since forever,” Roberts responded.
It’s quite amusing that Seawright, who is familiar with Democratic propaganda, believed he performed so well that he actually shared the video on his social media account on platform X.
By 10:20 a.m. ET on Friday, he had received seven responses: four positive, two negative, and one spam ad for a data management program.
Meanwhile, numerous social media users were much less forgiving. They easily discerned the hollowness beneath Seawright’s bravado.
This is embarrassing…

John Roberts disgust with his answers are epic. He’s one of a handful I like at that network

A pair of people noted that Seawright’s segment could have been easily mistaken for political satire.
Is this a skit? This is a skit right? This isn’t an actual presidential candidates spokesperson right?

He looks like he could get a job on SNL after she loses with that Comedy

It’s important to note that although Seawright’s response was poor, it was similar to the evasive answers given by Harris during her interview with Bash on Thursday night.
Harris, along with her deceitful running mate Tim Walz, avoided giving meaningful responses to a range of questions, from her “Day One” plans to her inconsistent stance on energy policies.
All of this is deliberate.
The Democratic strategy for the 2024 race against former President Donald Trump is to refrain from disclosing any concrete promises for the country under a Harris administration and instead rely on favorable media coverage to propel Harris to victory.
In this context, advocating for actual policies would be counterproductive, as it might provide even Democrats with insight into the leftist direction their leaders are determined to pursue.
This approach didn’t work for Seawright on Thursday afternoon, nor did it work for Harris on Thursday night.
Every conscientious American must ensure that it doesn’t work for the Democratic ticket in November.
