ABC News moderators David Muir and Linsey Davis were seen as defenders for Harris, actively engaging with Trump rather than facilitating a fair and direct debate.
The media appeared to be heavily biased towards the Democratic candidate, working hard to shield Harris from scrutiny.
Despite having numerous opportunities to challenge Harris, Trump allowed her to provoke him and steer the conversation off course. This played right into her strategy, as it effectively diverted attention from her policy record.
What’s even more concerning is that the moderators didn’t even attempt to maintain an appearance of impartiality.
MSNBC’s Nicole Wallace and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz openly acknowledged that the debate was unfairly tilted in favor of Harris.

Throughout the evening, Trump faced fact-checking on five occasions, while Harris was spared any such scrutiny. Adding insult to injury, the moderators posed ludicrous questions such as inquiring about Harris’ race, seemingly as a ploy to divert attention away from her record.

Harris seemed to have the upper hand in the debate, receiving more support from the media, while Trump faced greater scrutiny.
Even individuals such as Bill Kristol commended ABC’s moderators, prompting concerns about whether both candidates received fair treatment during the debate.

No matter how hard the media tried, Harris couldn’t evade the truth. Her economic approval ratings were already abysmal at 37%, and they plummeted even more after the debate.
During the debate, the inquiry about race sparked surprise, prompting commentary from prominent figures such as Don Lemon about Harris’ racial background.
Harris has previously encountered scrutiny, including instances of receiving advance debate information, as evidenced by Donna Brazile’s actions.
This has led some to question the level of media influence and draw comparisons between David Muir’s role and that of past moderators like Candy Crowley.

The debate on ABC wasn’t a debate, it was a promote Cackles love fest. In a real debate the same issue or questions are given to the candidates and they state their positions and/or policies and then each candidate is given time to rebutt the others positions and policies. And the moderators keep their mouths shut.
Muir and Davis argued with President Trump which is not their purpose and President Trump shouldn’t have to debate those two clowns.
Let them debate, the moderators shut up and we the people will decide what to believe or support.
Frick and Frack were biased and totally in the bag for Harris. This was NO debate, it was an ABC Harris pep rally.
I agree that it wasn’t a debate. The MSM news agencies haven’t learned anything from 2015 to 2016. They are doing their candidates no favors by going easy on them. We, as Americans, can see that the deck is stacked against Trump. He can handle that. During the election between Killary and Trump, the media pounded him while throwing softballs TO Killary. What we need is a president who can handle the tough questions and issues and still hit the ball out of the park. That was NOT Killary nor Kamala. We NEED Trump who can and will deal with the mess the dems have made of our country.
