Social media censorship surrounding COVID-19 vaccine injuries has reportedly led to tragic outcomes, including suicides, according to vaccine victims and their advocates. Many individuals have claimed to suffer from vaccine-related injuries and struggled to find support due to online censorship. This lack of support reportedly pushed some to such despair that they took their own lives.
Senator Ron Johnson from Wisconsin explained on the “Just the News, No Noise” TV show that Facebook has begun providing him with information about the alleged censorship of groups discussing vaccine injuries.
Johnson stated, “We have heard from representatives of Facebook. They understand now that they need to take this very seriously.” The senator emphasized that federal officials seemingly directed the removal of support group chats, leaving people isolated in their suffering.
Johnson further detailed the adverse effects of these actions, noting that people who were previously ignored by healthcare providers found their only solace in online support groups. “The result of Facebook’s action, at the behest of federal officials, was that people took their own lives,” he continued. The senator is demanding answers from Facebook, seeking to know who within the company and the federal government was responsible for the censorship.
As the chairman of the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, Johnson has sent a letter to Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg. The letter requests records related to Facebook’s alleged censorship of posts from those claiming vaccine injuries. The platform has been accused of shutting down support groups and silencing critical voices.
The controversy surrounding this issue was highlighted in the book “Worth a Shot?,” which alleges that within days of Johnson’s 2021 roundtable on vaccine injuries, a major Facebook support group was abruptly closed. The book claims users discussing their injuries faced shadow-banning, where their posts were made less visible. Johnson’s letter to Zuckerberg calls for transparency on the Biden administration’s role in these actions.
Zuckerberg has yet to publicly respond to the letter, though he has pointed fingers at the Biden administration for pressuring platforms to control narratives. This was discussed on Joe Rogan’s podcast, where Zuckerberg shared insights into the administration’s influence. As of now, Facebook has not provided a comment on the issue.
Brianne Dressen, co-chair of the nonprofit React19, stressed the grave consequences of social media censorship on those with vaccine injuries. Dressen remarked, “The censorship definitely had serious consequences,” pointing to the suicides as a result of isolation. The inability to access support or connect with others in similar situations has left many struggling.
Dressen noted that there have been seven publicly confirmed suicides linked to vaccine injuries, though she personally knows of at least 23 cases. “It is a continual struggle for people,” she said, emphasizing the ongoing challenges faced by those suffering from long-term effects. The isolation only adds to their physical and emotional burdens.
Robert Fusaro, who claims to have experienced severe vaccine side effects, shared his difficulties with Just the News. He explained how social media platforms enforced strict censorship, pushing users to use code words to discuss vaccine effects. This widespread censorship wasn’t limited to Facebook but extended to other platforms like Twitter and Reddit.
Fusaro described the environment as “very difficult,” with people desperate for answers and suffering greatly. As a moderator for a Facebook group focused on severe vaccine injuries, Fusaro noted that while censorship has lessened, warnings about misinformation still persist. He emphasized that much of the so-called misinformation is actually “factual and verifiable.”
Despite his own struggles, Fusaro continues to engage with the online community, often brushing off Facebook’s warnings. His health has significantly deteriorated since receiving the vaccine, resulting in prolonged hospitalizations. Prior to the vaccine, Fusaro was in good health and had fully recovered from a COVID infection in 2020.
Through social media, Fusaro connected with Mike Tilaro, another individual who suffered vaccine-related injuries. Tilaro, who was once successful in his career, experienced severe physical symptoms after vaccination. Fusaro shared how they would often discuss their struggles with suicidal thoughts due to their intense suffering.
The tragic reality for many facing these challenges is the overwhelming sense of isolation and despair. Fusaro and others have found themselves without the support they desperately need. The removal of online communities has left a void for those seeking understanding and encouragement.
These issues highlight the significant impact of controlling narratives and censoring critical voices. As more stories come to light, the call for transparency and accountability grows louder. The demand for answers from both government bodies and tech giants continues to escalate.
