A whistleblower within the FBI has made explosive claims about the bureau’s Security Clearance Division (SecD), alleging it has been compromised by political bias. The individual, whose identity remains protected, submitted these concerns in a disclosure to the House Judiciary Committee, as first reported by The Washington Times.
The whistleblower warns that SecD’s processes are influenced by political agendas, particularly under the leadership of FBI Director Christopher Wray and Deputy Director Paul Abbate. The allegations raise serious concerns about the FBI’s ability to impartially vet nominees for President-elect Donald Trump’s incoming administration.
According to the disclosure, Wray and Abbate have unrestricted access to all background investigations conducted by SecD. This unprecedented access, the whistleblower claims, opens the door for political retaliation under the guise of national security.
“FBI SecD has been politicized, and both Director Wray and Deputy Director Abbate have the ability to examine the background investigations of anyone undergoing a security clearance review,” the whistleblower stated.
The whistleblower alleges that the division has denied clearances based on personal and political beliefs. Among the factors allegedly used to disqualify candidates were attendance at Trump rallies, conservative Christian views, and refusal to take COVID-19 vaccines.
“Under Wray and Abbate, SecD refused clearances to U.S. military veterans, employees who refused COVID shots, employees who attended Trump rallies, and those with conservative Christian beliefs,” the disclosure claimed.
Amid these concerns, Trump’s transition team has opted to bypass the FBI for some vetting processes. Instead, they are relying on private firms to handle background checks for high-profile nominees, including Rep. Matt Gaetz for Attorney General, Tulsi Gabbard for Director of National Intelligence, Pete Hegseth for Secretary of Defense, and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for Secretary of Health and Human Services.
This decision reflects growing distrust of the FBI’s objectivity, particularly in the wake of perceived political interference during Trump’s first term.
The whistleblower also alleges that sensitive information gathered during background investigations could be shared with the Biden administration. This raises alarms about potential misuse of personal data for political purposes.
“Anyone providing information to the FBI for background investigations should assume that it may be shared with Deputy Director Abbate, Director Wray, or even officials in the current White House administration,” the whistleblower stated.
Moreover, the disclosure suggests that this information could be forwarded to state authorities for potential prosecution, further complicating the impartiality of the vetting process.
In response to the allegations, the FBI issued a statement defending its role in conducting background checks.
“The FBI serves as an investigative service provider and does not adjudicate or render an opinion on the results of the background investigation,” the bureau said.
The FBI has historically conducted security clearances for presidential appointees, a practice dating back to the Eisenhower administration. The process includes interviews and reviews of nominees’ criminal histories, foreign ties, and potential conflicts of interest.
Trump’s nominees bring their own set of challenges. Gaetz has faced investigations for alleged misconduct, though no charges have been filed. Gabbard has been criticized for her foreign policy views, which some see as sympathetic to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Kennedy, a vocal critic of vaccines, has drawn attention for his public health positions and personal controversies. Despite these issues, Trump’s team has expressed full confidence in its picks.
The whistleblower’s allegations underscore broader concerns about politicization within federal agencies, a key issue in Trump’s campaign. Trump has pledged sweeping reforms to institutions like the FBI, which he and his allies accuse of systemic bias.
As Trump prepares to take office, the battle over his Cabinet nominees and the vetting process is likely to intensify. The whistleblower’s claims could add fuel to an already contentious transition, highlighting the deep divisions in Washington over the future of America’s federal institutions.

I wouldn’t/don’t trust anyone working in the alphabet agency bureaucracies. The Trump team is smart to use outside of government sources. If he learned anything in the past 8 years, it is that!
Same here fellow American Patriot!
Most of the people working at every alphabet agency should be losing their jobs, especially those at the top. Those at the top need to go, they have politicalized their agency to get rid of Trump, his family, followers, sponsors etc. They lost when Trump won not only the electoral college vote but also the popular vote. We know about the lawfare used by these agencies and their intent to take Trump off the ballot, lose in civil and criminal cases, and allow shooting attempts on Trump’s life. The worst thing done by one of those agencies is to tell their workers to not seek out Trump supporters for FEMA relief. They should root out all those people and fire them, not giving them a chance to retire if old enough, so they lose every benefit given these cows, something those who lost everything in hurricanes experience!
So the resident bunch of Alphabet bureau fruits and vegetables are apprehensive about the incoming 2024 administration?
Practicing sedition has its consequences, I reckon.
NOTE: NO MATTER THEIR POLITICAL STANDING, ANY INDIVIDUAL OR GROUP (TO INCLUDE ANY FBI OFFICIAL) WHO INTERFERES WITH OUR NEW BATTLE CAPTAIN’S LEGAL ACTIONS TO DRAIN THE SWAMP IN DC AND THOSE EXISTING ACROSS THE NATION SHOULD BE IMMEDIATELY REMOVED FROM THEIR POSITIONS AND INVESTIGATED FOR VIOLATIONS OF THE LAW AND/OR THEIR OATHS OF OFFICE.

FINALLY, A TRUE BATTLE CAPTAIN!
America, we are now on the path to make America great again. Why? Because over 75 million of us have elected the very first true ‘Battle Captain’ as our President and Commander-in-Chief. Why Do I say Donald Trump is our first true Battle Captain? Because, Donald Trump is the first president to regularly demonstrate that the ‘Seven C’s of Leadership’ are a part of his character. The ‘Seven C’s of Leadership’ listed in the order of their importance in a survey of 1645 ground combat veterans are: CANDOR, COMPETENCE, COMMITMENT, CONSISTENCY, COURAGE, COMPASSION, and COURTESY.
As one of the army officers charged with finding a true Battle Captain among all those army officers serving this nation from the Revolutionary War through the Vietnam Conflict, I can testify that we only found one officer who made the grade of ‘Battle Captain’. And, he like Donald Trump was not a professional soldier. A year before the Battle of Gettysburg he was a college professor, yet most historians credit him for saving the Union Forces left flank and forcing General Lee to commit his forces to a frontal attack which failed. The Battle of Gettysburg is generally credited as the turning point of the Civil War and lead to the surrender of the Confederate Forces two years later.
Donald Trump has proven that he is indeed a Battle Captain. He has turned the attacks on our flanks and now I am confident he will succeed in an overwhelming envelopment of all the forces trying to destroy America. God bless and protect Donald Trump, and God Bless and protect America as we help Donald Trump make America great again.

Pete H. may not have had the resources to investigate this woman’s complaint !! I would like to know who was behind her complaint? Where did the money go? Did she benefit financially from other sources?
Great questions brother, and I would equally like to know all of that too!
Well for sure there should be I think 51 FBI corrupt agents fired for swearing and signing that the laptop of Hunter Biden’s was Russian disinformation they all lied and committed false investigation information that influenced the 2020 election.
They all should be indicted for corruption and sent to prison and forfeit all government benefits period. We can’t have lying assholes leading and investigation bogus fraud charges. There known liars and prison is do to them.
They have no respect or accountability. Not one of them admitted they were wrong.
Absolutely and that’s exactly what they deserve!
