Following President Joe Biden’s disastrous debate performance that revealed his age-related incompetence, there has been a renewed effort to release the audio transcript of Biden’s interview with Special Counsel Robert Hur.
House Republicans have been persistent in their pursuit of these recordings, which are related to the investigation into Biden’s handling of classified documents, an issue he managed to evade.
Despite Attorney General Merrick Garland’s refusal to make the tapes public and Biden invoking executive privilege over them, House Republicans are not backing down.
As reported by the Associated Press, they have initiated legal action against AG Garland in order to obtain the tapes, intensifying the ongoing battle.
“The audio recordings, not the cold transcripts, are the best available evidence of how President Biden presented himself during the interview,” the lawsuit reads.
It added, “The Committee thus needs those recordings to assess the Special Counsel’s characterization of the President, which he and White House lawyers have forcefully disputed, and ultimate recommendation that President Biden should not be prosecuted.”
The AP noted:
The lawsuit states that Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) made a “last-ditch effort” last week to Garland to resolve the issue without taking legal action but the attorney general referred the Republicans to the White House, which rebuffed the “effort to find a solution to this impasse.”
“We need the audio recordings and the transcripts,” Jordan said during a recent hearing.
He added, “Put simply, they are the best evidence of the president’s mental state.”

Why do leftists like to suppress documentation???….Jan. 6th. and now this???
Garland needs to be jailed for contempt if he doesn’t produce. We the public, paid for Hur to do the interview and we want to hear what was said – PERIOD!
Do not let Garland continue these cat and mouse games.
Just hold him for Contempt.
