Manhunt Underway For Suspect Dragging Officer With A Stolen Vehicle In Vermont [VIDEOS]

The Colchester police department is currently enlisting the help of the public in locating 39-year-old Andrew Brace from St. Albans.

This comes after an alleged incident in which he reportedly dragged a police officer with a car, resulting in the officer sustaining injuries.

Brace is facing potential charges which include aggravated assault and eluding police.

The event transpired during the early hours of Thursday morning when the Colchester police responded to a report regarding two unresponsive individuals inside a car on Conquest Circle at approximately 4:20 a.m.

Upon investigation, it was discovered that the vehicle had been reported as stolen from Burlington.

According to the official account provided by law enforcement, officers were able to rouse one of the individuals within the car, identified as Brace.

However, as they attempted to take him into custody, Brace allegedly reversed the car, dragging a Colchester officer approximately 50 feet before fleeing from the scene.

In an attempt to aid in locating Brace, law enforcement has released body-camera footage that captures the officers’ endeavor to apprehend him.

The officer who was dragged sustained injuries that were deemed non-life-threatening.

At the time of this incident, Brace was operating a stolen dark blue Genesis G809 with a Colorado license plate bearing D0UT58.

The Colchester police are encouraging anyone who possesses information pertaining to Brace’s whereabouts or about the stolen vehicle to come forward and provide assistance in connection with their ongoing investigation.
