Sounds like self-defense to me. Nothing requires you to take a knife to a knife fight. If you fear the engagement may result in death or serious harm to yourself or another, the use of a firearm is, and should be, legal. A 300 pound man or woman can do a boat load of life-long damage to another person, even without using a weapon (see George Floyd’s victim). A smaller person can do likewise. There is no reason you cannot RESPOND with deadly force to an attack that may result in your permanent disability or death.
The employee should be fired and banned from McDonald’s . The mom should have jail time and pay all of manager’s medical and legal expenses .
If we are honest we should realize it is the same tired old story aboput a balck caujsing trouble and not raising their chidlren properly. The teen was instructed to do a task as an employee and when refusing they were given a reprimand. And the so-called mother comes to the restaurant and cause an altercation? No wonder that teen is a spoiled, self-centered, brat. We see this type of miserable entitlement behavior on a daily basis and the great majority of the time it is a black person. This is what 60 years of black privilege and supremacy has brought.
She attacked a manager in his office where she has no right of being in their and your charging the manager for what. It’s called self defense and these asshole cops should know what self defense is. The Mother was wrong to invade the work space and regardless of provocation assault the manager. it is reasonable to respond to physical assault with deadly force. What sort of training are you talking about. Pick and choose who you want to take out the trash. Shoot at the body, not a leg. As a former police officer I would have written my report and sent it to the DA to decide if charges are to be made, especially if the manager said they were in fear for their life. A person is not officially charged with a crime until the DA informs the court they are being charged. I know police say you are being charged with so and so but they actually should say In the name of the DA, I am charging you with a certain crime and he will decide if it goes to court.
