ESPN host Pat McAfee described what it was like sharing an Arrowhead Stadium suite with Taylor Swift and Tom Cruise during Sunday’s Kansas City Chiefs game against the Denver Broncos.
On Monday’s episode of the “Pat McAfee Show,” the 39-year-old sports analyst said watching the pair take in the game was “fantastic.”
McAfee said Swift, 36, was “all in” as she watched her husband, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, and his team defeat the Broncos, following “every snap” of the action.
“That was the most ‘into it’ suite we’ve ever been in,” McAfee said.
Swift’s mother, Andrea Swift, was also in the suite and brought candied bacon for the group.
McAfee said Swift took a selfie with him and described her as “kind” and “hospitable.” The singer hugged McAfee after he greeted Donna Kelce, Travis’ mother. McAfee also joked that he regretted having “sweat[ed] all over” Swift on the hot Missouri afternoon.
McAfee said he was struck that Cruise, 64, stayed dry despite wearing a leather jacket in the heat.
“He … didn’t have a single drop or bead of sweat anywhere,” McAfee said. “He’s the movie star. He doesn’t sweat.”
Sunday’s game was Swift’s first appearance at a Chiefs game since she married Kelce, 36, in New York City in July. She wore a checked polo dress and her signature red lipstick.
ESPN’s broadcast repeatedly cut to Swift during the game, prompting a professional lip reader to tell the Irish Times on Monday what she believed Swift and Cruise were discussing. According to that reading, Swift said, “It’s the structure of the entire infrastructure of the audience that’s what I love in a positive way.”
A separate lip reader disputed a viral clip that appeared to show Swift telling cameras to stop filming her, telling The Post she was actually shouting, “Oh he’s open, oh he’s open, get off of him.”
