Mallory Edens, an heiress to the Milwaukee Bucks ownership family, appears to have responded on social media to recent comments made by Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers about his past relationships.
Edens, 30, and Rodgers were rumored to be dating in 2023 after an unnamed source said the two were “more than friends” but keeping things “low-key.” The pair had been seen sitting courtside together at Milwaukee Bucks games, though neither publicly confirmed a relationship.
On Monday, Edens posted a message on Instagram that many read as a pointed reply to comments Rodgers made during a podcast appearance discussing his past.
“My ex is currently on a press tour talking about how he never loved anyone he dated after 2017,” Edens wrote. “Unfortunately for him, I am also on a press tour, for a movie inspired by how down bad I was. Really exciting time for competing narratives!!”
She added, “Charlie Harper hits theaters everywhere this Friday.”
Rodgers did not name Edens directly in his own recent comments, unlike references he has made to other former partners in the past. But the timeframe she cited lines up with remarks Rodgers made about being “emotionally unavailable” after a particular point in his life.
“I met my wife in 2017,” Rodgers said during an appearance on the podcast Not Just Football with Cam Heyward. “At the time, she was leaving the states and going back to Europe and my biggest regret is not begging her to stay or just, like, proposing right there.”
Neither Edens nor Rodgers has directly confirmed that her post was aimed at him, and it remains unclear whether her comments were meant as a pointed callback to their past relationship, a promotional plug for her upcoming film, or some combination of both.
