A PFL fight card in Chicago on Friday night ended in defeat for Mexican mixed martial artist Lucero Acosta, but the 32-year-old says the loss came with an unexpected financial upside.
Acosta, making her PFL debut, lost by TKO when the referee stopped her bout against 9-1 opponent Shannon Clark in the third round after a series of elbows left Acosta’s head bouncing off the canvas. During the fight, Acosta’s top slipped out of place, a moment captured on camera and quickly circulated online.
The clip spread across social media, and Acosta said the attention translated into extra income on OnlyFans, the subscription platform where she maintains an account. In a post on Instagram, she wrote, “Extra payment on @onlyfans because we showed our nipples during the @pflmma live. It’s cute. Official sponsor.” She suggested the bonus could reach as much as $500,000, though that figure has not been independently verified.
The loss was Acosta’s first by TKO and dropped her professional record to 6-3. It also snapped a four-fight winning streak that had run from September 2022 through April 2025. Acosta has previously drawn online attention for footage of herself training underwater in a bikini.
Whatever the final size of the payout, the episode is a reminder of how quickly a single viral moment, even one born from an inauspicious result in the cage, can be converted into commercial gain in today’s social-media-driven sports economy.
