A conservative outreach organization says it has made roughly 3 million voter contacts across battleground states this midterm cycle, and that its data shows voters become more likely to cast a ballot once they hear specifics about the Trump administration’s record.
America First Works (AFW) told Breitbart News it currently runs field operations in eight states: Michigan, Pennsylvania, Arizona, Wisconsin, Ohio, Texas, Georgia and Nebraska. The group’s canvassing has focused on raising awareness of administration accomplishments, and it says the more voters hear, the more they report willingness to support America First candidates.
In Arizona’s 1st Congressional District, AFW says it has recorded an 11 percent increase in support for the America First agenda since July, alongside a 7 percent rise in awareness of economic developments such as Trump Accounts. The group has made more than 507,000 voter contacts in Arizona alone.
AFW reported more than one million contacts in Michigan. In the state’s 7th and 10th Congressional Districts, the group found an 11 percent increase in awareness of falling prescription drug prices. It also found that more than half of those surveyed in Michigan’s 7th District had not heard of Trump Accounts, which provide $1,000 in seed money to eligible newborns. After hearing about the administration’s record, 46 percent of those surveyed in that district said they were more likely to vote for an America First candidate.
In Pennsylvania’s 7th District, that figure rose to 69 percent. AFW said similar patterns showed up in Wisconsin’s 3rd District and Pennsylvania’s 10th District.
AFW President Ashley Hayek said the organization’s surveys point to a clear pattern.
“We’ve surveyed voters across the battleground districts, and the result is unmistakable: hearing what President Trump has delivered makes people more willing to turn out,” Hayek said.
Hayek framed the group’s work as a contrast with Democratic messaging. “America First is fighting Bidenflation and moving the country toward prosperity and opportunity. The left is offering more government control over your life and fewer choices about your healthcare, your safety, and your rights as a parent. The voters we talk to understand the stakes. Our job is making sure they vote,” she said.
“Behind President Trump’s leadership, our job is simple: amplify the wins, push back on legacy media narratives, and turn out voters,” Hayek added. “We’ve surpassed 3 million voter contacts this cycle, and the next three weeks are about one thing: making sure voters we’ve talked to cast their ballot.”
Turnout as the deciding factor
The stakes extend beyond individual districts. Midterm elections have historically favored the party out of power, and Democratic gains in Congress could stall President Donald Trump’s legislative agenda, including measures such as the SAVE America Act.
Gregg Phillips, who co-founded the voter turnout platform 7Votes.org with Catherine Engelbrecht, told Breitbart News Saturday that polling noise shouldn’t distract from the fundamental question of who actually shows up.
“It all comes down to who gets out to vote… I look at those things, and I look at the numbers, and all I can think about is, you know what? This is going to come down to a point,” Phillips said.
Engelbrecht echoed that warning about the consequences of low turnout.
“Every vote counts, and if we sit this one out, we will wish that we hadn’t. Once the results come in and we see the shocking impact it will have in our state houses and on Capitol Hill, where advancements that have been made will most definitely be peeled back, and we will be in a bad place for the next two years. It is critical that we get everybody out to vote, and this is an easy way to start that conversation,” Engelbrecht said.
