Lady Gaga has welcomed her first child with fiancé Michael Polansky, according to multiple reports from People and Page Six. The 40-year-old singer’s representatives have not released further details, and Fox News Digital has reached out to Lady Gaga for comment.
The news follows comments the Grammy Award-winning singer made to The New York Times in March 2025, when she said she was “excited to be a mom” but acknowledged she “used to have a lot of apprehension about it.”
“I’m also kind of at war with myself sometimes as I get ready to, hopefully, become a mom soon,” she said. “Like, today is wonderful, but the whole day has revolved around me. There’s an incredible amount of narcissism in this. How do I live a life where I’m passionate about my art while also making more space for other things?”
She said one of her main concerns about motherhood was “to not force my children to live a life that they are not choosing,” and to “give them space to discover who they are on their own.”
Gaga had also spoken about wanting children in a March 2020 interview with InStyle, saying, “Isn’t it incredible what we can do? We can hold a human inside and grow it. Then it comes out, and it’s our job to keep it alive.”
A relationship years in the making
Gaga and Polansky met in late 2019 and were first linked romantically after being spotted kissing on New Year’s Eve in Las Vegas. She made their relationship public in February 2020 with an Instagram post of the two on a yacht, captioned, “We had so much fun in Miami.”
In July 2024, Gaga confirmed the couple’s engagement, revealing Polansky had proposed that April. They made their red carpet debut together at the “Joker: Folie à Deux” premiere at the Venice Film Festival in September 2024.
“The missing piece in my life was having real love,” she told Vogue that same month.
Gaga wrapped up her Mayhem Ball tour in April and last appeared publicly in May at the Grove for the premiere of “Apple Music Live: Lady Gaga MAYHEM Requiem.”
