Kimberly Cheatle, the head of the Secret Service, revealed why the agency did not place an agent on the rooftop where Thomas Matthew Crooks tried to assassinate Donald Trump.
The officials in charge of security for Trump’s rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, considered the warehouse situated 147 yards from Trump’s location too hazardous to station an agent.

Amid increasing demands for her resignation, Cheatle defended the lack of security on the roof by asserting that the building’s sloped roof presented a safety hazard, thus dissuading personnel deployment there.

Thomas Matthew Crooks successfully established his vantage point without detection despite urgent warnings from rally attendees due to a security lapse.
Cheatle claimed that the rapid unfolding of events left insufficient time to act on the warnings, as Crooks was already in position when identified as a potential threat.
Despite acknowledging the security vulnerabilities, Cheatle remains defiant in the face of demands for her resignation, stating, “The buck stops with me,” and acknowledging that the incident was unacceptable and should not be repeated.
Additionally, Joe Biden misgendered Kimberly Cheatle by referring to her as him, despite being the one who appointed her as Secret Service Director.

I have always thought the HIT on Trump was an inside job. Based on the latest information, how can it be anything else.
