Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made a bold move this week by sending a delegation to Washington D.C. to plead with the Biden regime to reverse their decision banning the launch of U.S. missiles on Russian territory.
This decision by the Biden administration has left Ukraine vulnerable and at risk of further aggression from Russia.
According to sources close to the situation, President Zelensky is deeply concerned about the safety and security of his country and its people in light of recent escalations from neighboring Russia.
The delegation, led by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, met with top officials in the Biden administration including Secretary of State Antony Blinken and National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan.
In an interview with The Gateway Pundit, Minister Kuleba expressed his frustration with the current state of affairs between Ukraine and Russia, stating that “the ban on launching U.S. missiles inside Russian territory has tied our hands and prevented us from defending ourselves against Russian aggression.” He also emphasized that “we are not asking for military intervention or assistance, we simply want access to our own weapons.”
This plea for help comes after weeks of escalating tensions between Ukraine and Russia, including increased military presence along the border and multiple ceasefire violations by pro-Russian separatists in eastern Ukraine.
The Hill reports:
Ukraine’s struggle to fend off Russia’s massive offensive in the Kharkiv region has underscored a pressing issue that Kyiv has long tried to overturn: a ban on firing U.S. weapons to hit inside of Russia.
Russia launched its Kharkiv offensive from the neighboring Belgorod region, and some Ukrainian officials are arguing that the attack could have been blunted if they were allowed to hit targets in that Russian province.
…
In lieu of a policy change, Ukraine has resorted to hitting inside of Russia with its own weapons, including cheap drones that have harassed Russian targets such as oil refineries. The campaign to hit oil refineries with drones has picked up in pace and breadth in recent months.
But Ukrainian officials say there is no substitute for American-made arms such as the missile launcher weapon High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) or valued long-range artillery like the Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS).
These actions have raised concerns among American allies in Europe as well as NATO officials.
President Zelensky has been vocal about his desire for stronger support from Western nations in defending against Russian aggression.
However, with the Biden administration’s decision to restrict Ukraine’s access to U.S. missiles, his options for defense have been severely limited.
This move by the Biden regime has left many questioning their commitment to America’s allies and standing up against tyrannical regimes like Russia.
It also raises concerns about President Biden’s foreign policy decisions and whether they are putting America’s national security at risk.
Furthermore, this decision goes against the long-standing tradition of bipartisan support for Ukraine in the United States.
In 2014, both Democrats and Republicans came together to provide military aid to Ukraine after Russian annexation of Crimea.
This unity showed a strong message of support for Ukraine and a united front against Russian aggression.
However, it seems that under the current administration, this support has wavered and potentially put American allies at risk.
With tensions continuing to rise between Ukraine and Russia, it is imperative that President Biden reconsiders his decision and allows Ukraine access to their own weapons in order to defend themselves against an increasingly hostile neighbor.
In response to these developments, Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) has called on President Biden to reverse this ban and “stand firmly with our allies in Eastern Europe.” He also stated that “we must not allow our allies to be bullied by aggressive nations like Russia.”

If Ukraine had missiles and nuclear weapons, Putin’s Russia wouldn’t dare attack them. There was one American general who opposed removing nuclear weapons from Europe. He said it would make Europe safe for general warfare.
It’s It’s way past time for Zelenskyy to sit down and negotiate. Like an immature adolescent, Washington is only enabling Zelenskyy continued evasion of the truth – Ukraine cannot win.
