Hazmat-suited emergency responders hurriedly moved two patients from a Manhattan urgent care center to Bellevue Hospital, raising alarms over possible Ebola exposure. This incident unfolded at a CityMD facility on East 125th Street and Lexington Avenue, where the patients had visited for medical help. The individuals had recently returned from Uganda, a region historically troubled by Ebola outbreaks, and showed symptoms that fit the disease’s profile.
Despite the initial scare, health officials later downplayed the Ebola concern, suggesting that norovirus might be the actual culprit behind the illness. Reports indicated that the two patients from Madagascar had possible Ebola symptoms, which led to three other individuals possibly being exposed while they waited in the clinic’s lobby. This chaotic scene was captured and shared widely, amplifying public fear and concern.
Authorities confirmed that the patients were transported to Bellevue Hospital to undergo testing and receive further evaluation. The suspicion of Ebola was primarily due to their recent travels to Uganda and the symptoms they exhibited. However, no conclusive tests had been performed yet to confirm the presence of the virus.
The urgent care clinic responded swiftly, removing the patients and sending them to the hospital for more tests and necessary treatment. The fast and decisive actions by healthcare professionals were vital in containing any potential spread of the virus. Video footage of the incident, widely circulated on social media, showed the gravity of the situation.
Ebola, known for its high contagion and deadly nature, spreads through direct contact with the bodily fluids of an infected person or contaminated materials. The virus causes severe symptoms such as hemorrhagic fever, high fever, vomiting, diarrhea, muscle pain, and both internal and external bleeding. Given the travel history and symptoms of the patients, medical authorities took rigorous precautions to avert any potential spread.
While the symptoms initially set off alarms for Ebola, health officials pointed out that the swift illness transmission among family members aligned more with norovirus. Norovirus, often called the “stomach flu,” is a highly contagious virus causing vomiting, diarrhea, and stomach pain, albeit not as deadly as Ebola. This insight helped to alleviate some of the immediate fears surrounding the incident.
Following the urgent transportation of the patients, the CityMD clinic was temporarily shut down as a safety measure. After a thorough evaluation by health authorities, the facility was eventually cleared to reopen. First responders were then permitted to continue their duties while equipped with standard personal protective equipment (PPE) rather than full hazmat suits.
Authorities maintain vigilance, continuing to monitor the situation closely as they carry out further testing at Bellevue Hospital to identify the illness’s root cause. As of now, there have been no confirmed cases of Ebola stemming from this incident. The precautionary measures taken highlight the importance of preparedness and swift response in managing potential public health threats.
The rapid response and careful monitoring by healthcare and law enforcement agencies play a crucial role in maintaining public safety. Even though the risk of Ebola was deemed low, the situation underscores the need for continued vigilance and preparedness against such infectious diseases. The incident serves as a reminder of the complexities and challenges involved in managing potential outbreaks.
The healthcare system’s ability to respond to potential threats is vital in ensuring public safety and preventing widespread panic. The cooperation between medical professionals and law enforcement is essential in addressing such situations effectively. This incident, despite its alarming nature, showcases the effectiveness of the protocols in place to handle possible infectious threats.
In times of potential crisis, the importance of clear communication from health authorities cannot be overstated. Ensuring that accurate and timely information is shared with the public helps in preventing panic and fostering trust in the healthcare system. The collaborative efforts of healthcare professionals and law enforcement agencies remain critical in safeguarding public health.
The rapid response and containment measures taken during this incident illustrate the importance of having robust healthcare protocols in place. These measures are essential in preventing the spread of infectious diseases and ensuring public safety. As the situation develops, continued vigilance and adherence to established guidelines will remain key in managing potential health threats.

I find it really, really hard to believe anything that comes out of the CDC anymore. They proved for 4 years that they lie to the people but covers up for some of the people. I still have heard them apologize to the world for how they lied about C-19. And there isn’t another word for it but lying.they lied about the killer drug they helped force on people. So why believe them about these people , Are they waiting for it to spread too, like C-19 when there was a simple drug already on the market that could have helped people. And yes it’s been proven. I don’t trust them
Agreed!
Absolutely that is the case with this, and anything the CDC is involved in! I’ve also been saying that wait and see how all this out of control “Unvetted Illegal Invasion” from over 150 counties plays out to be a critical situation as these human parasites who don’t care at all about America or its Citizens are bringing highly communicable diseases into America! And just watch what the schemers in our government do with that situation! Commie Demoncraps “never let a crisis go to waste,” so this time what’s coming will make Covid look like it was a sniffle in comparison to the havoc it will create!
Callie; they weren’t even reprimanded let alone actually punished which is absolutely evil!
I will never trust the CDC, NEVER; as well I do not trust this government or any man-made government anymore! It’s all about PROVE now, and not just a little bit or a few times but constantly proving over many years, then some trust can be restored perhaps! It’s like you point out all the lies have been overwhelming and so destructive to the point where countless people died and are now still others who are crippled and dying! And a thief you can prevent from thieving from you again by locking him out or keeping the valuables very secure but one who lies too you many times especially in critical matters, how can you ever trust or know that liar isn’t lying again; can’t be done, because anyone can tell a lie again and fool many people!
Trust must be earned and the “public trust” was ruined or “even destroyed” by all of the “deep dark deception” by so many in our government and media! That’s just how it works, and to me “they are all shit on a stick!” So many of them actually belong in prison but are any being sentenced to long terms in prison cells, no they are not, so what does that say on its face! “The powerful are all liars and playing a game and they don’t care what we the peons think,” and “they will just keep the status-quo in place” which works fine for them, they can keep being “crooked and evil!”
Why would anyone with a brain who can think sensibly think otherwise, “when this same government flooded our nation with well over 15 million unvetted Illegals” over just the last 4 years, many of them “carriers of highly contagious diseases” say like the strain of TB which is not curable and causes a slow suffering death; “XDR-TB, which is impervious to first-, second-, and third-line drugs—virtually all the antibiotics!” It’s being spread virtually anywhere and everywhere people live in America! That’s even of exponentially greater concern for us than Ebola right now, and we don’t live in the Congo! I don’t want to scare people, but there are also many other deadly things being introduced into the American population from say Central America due to what this government and powerful oligarchs have done to us and this nation; and we should trust them? NEVER!
Great job Leftist Mayor Adams with your Sanctuary Congo NYC where you kicked citizen children out of athletic facilities so they could be used to bring in all the more Illegal Criminal Invaders to live in, instead of just deporting them all immediately! Instead you and your predecessor the Marxist Radical Leftist Bill de Blasio have manged to bring the entire city down into the sewer!
*have managed to bring
