Patrick Clancy, whose three young children were killed by his former wife Lindsay Clancy in 2023, said in a new interview that he and his new wife, Rachel Danis, are starting a family together.
The announcement came during an interview with “60 Minutes,” Clancy’s first television appearance since Lindsay Clancy’s murder trial ended earlier this month with a hung jury. Danis, an infertility specialist who married Clancy in April, sat beside him for the conversation.
Journalist Ross Douthat asked the couple, “And you guys are starting a family,” which Danis confirmed.
Clancy said he looks forward to telling his future children about his first three — Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months old — who were strangled by Lindsay Clancy in the family’s Massachusetts home in January 2023.
“I think every parent can agree, you have different relationships with your kids, but they’re all your kids. And I can’t wait to tell them about their brothers and sister,” Clancy said.
Clancy and Danis married in April at a small ceremony at the Ladies Pavilion in New York City’s Central Park, the same park where the couple first met.
“I was just a girl that met a guy running in Central Park on a really cold Saturday,” Danis said.
Danis, 37, works as a reproductive endocrinologist and infertility specialist at a reproductive clinic in New York City. Asked about criticism the couple has faced online over their relationship, she said, “I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that.”
Clancy moved to Manhattan after the deaths of his children. He later met Danis, and the two began a relationship documented in photos posted on social media, including images from a shared workout class and from the New York City Marathon in November 2025.
