Savannah Chrisley announced this week that she is engaged and expecting a child with Jason Galanis, 56, a man who met her father, Todd Chrisley, while the two served time together in federal prison. President Trump commuted Galanis’s sentence and separately pardoned Todd Chrisley, wiping out his unpaid restitution.
Todd Chrisley was convicted in federal court in Atlanta, Georgia, on charges tied to bank fraud and tax evasion before his pardon. Galanis has been convicted in multiple financial fraud schemes, according to Page Six.
Savannah Chrisley revealed the engagement in an Instagram post, writing, “I’ve prayed for this life. I’ve cried for this life,” and describing Galanis as “my protector. My fiercest fighter. My most loyal person. My lover. My safe place.”
She initially referred to her fiancé only as “J” in an effort to keep his identity private, but Us Weekly identified him as Galanis shortly after her announcement.
Chrisley said the two met last summer and that Galanis proposed roughly five months into their relationship, in December 2025, during a trip to the Cayman Islands.
Speaking on her podcast about the proposal, she recounted what Galanis told her before she opened the ring box: “Before I open this, I just want you to know that this is just an expression of love to you. This can be whatever you want it to be. This can be an engagement ring, a promise ring, a cocktail ring for all I care. I just want you to know how much I love you.”
The ring
The engagement ring, designed by Nicole Genovese of Genovese Jewelers, features a large oval-cut center diamond flanked by half-moon diamonds, set in rose gold with a pavé shank. Chrisley also wore a coordinating eternity band of prong-set oval-cut diamonds, also in rose gold.
Rare Carat CEO and founder Ajay Anand estimated the center stone at roughly 15 to 18 carats, with the two side stones each around 2 carats. “Assuming this is a high-quality natural diamond, potentially even D Flawless, I would estimate the ring’s retail value to be upwards of $1.5 million, potentially significantly higher depending on its exact specifications and certification,” Anand told Page Six.
Chrisley and Galanis plan to marry in May 2027.
