The Arizona Cardinals will play the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, Nov. 1, 2026, at 1 p.m. ET at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, in a Week 8 matchup between two teams heading in different directions.
Arizona enters the game at 2-5, fourth in the NFC West, with both of its wins coming on the road, at the Chargers in Week 1 and the Rams in Week 6. The Cardinals have struggled at home, and their defense has been a weak point, allowing 29.7 points per game, a mark that ranks in the bottom 10 of the league. That showed last week in a 30-16 home loss to Denver.
Dallas sits at 3-4, second in the NFC East, and is coming off a 38-21 win at Philadelphia on Oct. 26. The Cowboys average 27 points per game, fifth-best in the NFL, but have had their own home struggles, going 1-2 at AT&T Stadium this season.
Arizona’s passing attack carries the load
Quarterback Jacoby Brissett throws more than any passer in the league, averaging 40.3 attempts per game, and he put up 48 attempts against Denver in Week 7. Dallas has intercepted just two passes all season, which could give Brissett room to operate. But his turnover history this year is uneven: five of his six interceptions came in Weeks 4 through 6. The Cowboys have managed only 10 sacks on the year, so Brissett is likely to have time in the pocket. The question for Arizona is whether it can move the ball efficiently without needing another 45-pass outing.
Tight end Trey McBride has been the most consistent target, hauling in 59 catches on 78 targets and posting at least seven receptions in five straight games. Dallas allows 228 passing yards per game, and McBride’s four touchdown catches lead the Cardinals. With Arizona throwing roughly 40 times a contest, he figures to see steady volume regardless of how the game unfolds.
Dallas leans on balance
Quarterback Dak Prescott needed just 27 pass attempts in the win over Philadelphia, throwing three touchdowns in that game. His 1,851 passing yards this season rank fifth in the NFL. Arizona’s defense has given up 354 total yards per game, a bottom-10 figure, which could let Dallas run the ball and have Prescott pick his spots. He has been sacked only seven times all season, tied for fewest in the league, against an Arizona pass rush that has recorded 15 sacks.
Running back Javonte Williams has scored a rushing touchdown in five straight games and ran for a career-high 155 yards against Philadelphia, his first 100-yard game of the season. He carried the ball 25 times in that outing. Arizona allows 126 rushing yards per game, also among the bottom 10 in the league, which sets up as a favorable matchup for Williams. His eight rushing touchdowns are tied for the most in the NFL.
