A week at Walt Disney World during Halloween now costs a family of four nearly $5,000 on average — more than a comparable week-long trip to Spain, Greece or Italy, according to a new study of pricing data.
The analysis, from vacation rental marketplace FloridaRentals.com, pulled lodging rates directly from Disney’s official website and compared them with Booking.com data for the same travel window: October 25 through November 1, 2026. It found families pay an average of $4,924 just to stay on-site at a Disney resort in Orlando’s Orange County for that week.
By comparison, a week in Spain for a family of four averages $1,710, or 65% less than a Disney stay. Greece comes in at $2,806 (43% cheaper), and Italy at $3,768 (23% cheaper).
The price gap widens further at Disney’s upper-tier properties. Last-minute Halloween bookings at the Beach Club Resort hit $9,879.30 for the week. Even the chain’s cheapest listed option, Coronado Springs Resort, runs $2,159 for seven nights.
The study also found the Halloween-week premium is real: on-site Disney lodging for the same family size averages $4,064 for a comparable week in May 2027, meaning last-minute Halloween rates carry a 21% markup over spring pricing.
Ticket Prices Climbing Too
The lodging figures come on top of recent ticket hikes. Disney quietly raised prices earlier this month, pushing its single-day Park Hopper pass past $300 for peak weekend dates. Top-tier single-day, single-park tickets now run $229, and the VIP line-skipping Lightning Lane pass jumped to $499.
Halloween is Disney World’s longest annual event, running from August 7 through October 31, 2026. A major draw is Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom, a separately ticketed nighttime event priced between $119 and $229 per person — on top of park admission and lodging.
Longtime visitors say they’ve watched the party’s price climb for years. One Facebook commenter said they paid $88 a person for the event in 2019 and $144 this year. Another wrote, “I paid $105 per person in 2018.. I think it was closer to Halloween. Now I’m seeing for a Friday on Oct $199.. beyond ridiculous,” noting that figure doesn’t include resort stays or park tickets.
