Senator Tim Scott (R-SC) has been a subject of increasing speculation regarding his potential candidacy as the vice president alongside former President Donald Trump in the upcoming presidential election, according to a report by the New York Post.
In an interview with Eric Bolling, Scott expressed his thoughts on the upcoming debates between Joe Biden and President Trump, criticizing what he perceived as biased media treatment of conservative politicians.
He anticipated that the questions posed during the debates would favor Biden, portraying them as “softballs” for Biden and “hardballs” for Trump.
Scott also suggested that Biden might appear to be an elderly man who should be retired when facing off against Trump.
The prospect of a debate moderated by conservative figures was raised by Bolling, who expressed his willingness to moderate a debate between Scott and Kamala Harris. This further fueled rumors about Scott’s potential vice-presidential candidacy.
Scott responded positively to Bolling’s suggestion, hinting at the possibility of him being involved in a vice-presidential debate.
He emphasized that America is a land where anyone can rise to prominence, expressing gratitude for the country while affirming his support for Donald Trump as the next president.
When directly asked if he could be the new vice president, Scott maintained an air of mystery by responding with “We’ll see. We’ll see.”

In February, during a pre-recorded town hall event at the Greenville Convention Center hosted by Fox News’ Laura Ingraham, Donald Trump discussed the importance of selecting a vice president who could step into the role of president if necessary.
He praised Senator Tim Scott, present in the audience, and hinted at his potential as a vice-presidential candidate.
Trump emphasized the need for a candidate who could effectively assume the presidency if required. He commended Senator Tim Scott for his support and effectiveness, suggesting that he could be a suitable VP candidate.
Trump expressed his belief that the primary quality in a running mate should be their capability to serve as an excellent president in any situation. He noted Scott’s support and dedication, stating that he had been more beneficial to Trump than to himself during his own campaign.
However, there are conflicting reports about this speculation. NBC reported that Trump might not choose a hardline pro-life candidate due to concerns about its impact on the election. There were specific concerns about Senator Tim Scott and South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem regarding their positions on abortion.
A source close to Trump mentioned his apprehension about choosing someone with too staunch a position on abortion, fearing it could have negative repercussions for the election campaign.
It was reported that Trump’s preference was for a candidate who supported nothing stricter than a six-week ban on abortion.
This was seen as a departure from 2016 when he selected Mike Pence, who strongly aligned with pro-life views, in an attempt to secure support from conservative evangelicals.
North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum revealed that during a gathering at Mar-a-Lago, Trump had announced that there were 50 potential contenders under consideration for his running mate.

I like Tim Scott, but I also like Ben Carson, who I think might draw more Democrats and Independents to vote Republican than Scott.
I’d like to say that I hope President Trump picks either Ben Carson or Tulsi Gabbard as his running mate. I especially like Ben Carson because I believe he is a real sincere Christian and a very smart and famous doctor, but I also like Tulsi Gabbard because I believe she has integrity and that’s why she left the Demoncrat Party and I am leaning toward her because I like so much of what she says about government and governing and because I think that she could draw more of the younger women’s vote on the abortion issue and they could be pivotal voters in this year’s election.
